About Chicago OnBoard

Posted on 22 July 2010

By the time you hit your mid twenties, you’ve been through a number of orientations.

College orientation is more than a cursory introduction to your university. These one to two day sessions give new freshmen and transfer students an overview of what to expect as a new college student. Orientation gives you the opportunity to tour the campus, learn more about the school’s regulations and policies, and attend special sessions to find out what support services are available to you.

Once out of school, new employee orientation effectively integrates rookie employee into an organization, focusing on topics that enable each individual to quickly become contributing, motivated members of the team.

But what about Life Orientation?

When and where do you learn how to:

• Set a budget?
• Find the right partner?
• Advance your career?
• Ask the right questions when looking for an apartment?
• Find a good mentor?
• Save for retirement?
• Learn how to effectively network?
• Decide when it’s the right time to go back to school?
• Or any of the dozens of other things that come your way?

Enter Chicago OnBoard.
